Using dance and music as the two main elements to tell the story, Lilith is a short film about the Genesis. These three elements: film, music and dance, were derived from a vision of a soul's dream within a dream, an experience of haunt and trauma, issues between and of religious values and to that of the study on esoteric astrology on the Dark Moon Lilith.

A modern figure and symbol of feminine freedom, security and sensuality, this film explores the dark twisted nature of Lilith. In approach to this subject, I accentuate the elements with the original context of feminism, causing the resulting work to vacillitate between the poles of men and women, strong and weak, good and evil, the inspirational and the bizarre.

THE TEAM

ERIC CHANG
Réalisateur

Eric Chang is a photographer and film director. The son of a sculptor and a ceramic designer, he spent his early years in his parent's workshop writing poetry, sketching with charcoals, and sculpting gypsum.

He found his stepping-stone to pursue the medium of photography when viewing an exhibition by fellow Indonesian photographer, Indra Leonardi. One photograph in this exhibit titled “Madonna and Child” captured his imagination, and inspired him to use his dad’s old rangefinder camera.

RICK OWENS
Fashion Designer

In 1994, the world started taking notice of a young and athletic Californian, with a punk look, anti-conformist personality penchant for black leather, hard rock, goth, Vogue Paris and has a real passion for all forms of art...

The world was talking about Rick Owens, a designer whose talent the international fashion community saluted and for whom they quickly coined the term "glunge" to describe his style, halfway between glamour and grunge.

His name achieved an international reputation in 2001 when his label was promoted by his Italian agency Eo Bocci Associati. Rick Owens has kept moving and his collections remain faithful to his image, as an off the beaten path designer. He fine-tunes his style, always close to the goth culture, with a strong predominance of black, grey and leather, his fetish material. His consecration came when Kate Moss made the front page of the French issue of Vogue, dressed in one of his leather jackets.

DEON LEE
Composer

He was born in Seoul, raised in Tokyo, and studied music in Boston and Los Angeles with the emphasis on cinematic composing where he had the opportunity to study with Hollywood composers such as Christopher Young and Bruce Broughton. Having been raised in various cultural backgrounds he has been widely exposed to a variety of musical influences and considers himself not to be bound by a specific genre.

D's formal musical training began with the violin and then went onto further gaining knowledge and skills on other instruments such as guitar, drums, trumpet and piano. Returning back to the violin in high school he was recognized as the district's most improved player.

In the era that is constantly changing he has hopes and dreams of transforming people's lives through his ever evolving music. He currently lives in Los Angeles working for various films and assisting production tracks for Sonoton music library based in Munich, Germany. Aside from composing, he enjoys meeting filmmakers, art exhibitions, photography and Japanese food.

NATHANIA ALVITA
Dancer & Chorégrapher

Nathania Alvita is a dancer, choreographer & stage manager born in Jakarta, Indonesia. She trained as a dancer from the age of seven. Her style technique evolve around that of ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, traditional balinese and argentine tango.

During a summer program at the Alvin Ailey school in New York, she fell in love with modern contemporary dance. In continuation, she went and trained full time at the Martha Graham School of Dance where her love and compassion toward the arts of movement shaped and transformed her character and the way she envisioned her creative imagination of choreography today.

She is vastly open to new artistic ventures and experiments with all sorts of medium and collaborating them with the art of movement. Nathania experiments a lot by fusing different styles of dance in a mission to create a new evolution in the dance world.

GARETH PUGH
Fashion Designer

At 14, Pugh began working as a costume designer for the English National Youth Theater. He started his fashion education at City of Sunderland College and finished his degree in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins in 2003.

He interned with Rick Owens in Paris. His final collection at St. Martins, which used balloons to accentuate models' joints and limbs (a technique that would become one of his trademarks), attracted the attention of the senior fashion editor of Dazed & Confused magazine, who placed one of his designs on the magazine's cover shortly thereafter.

Pugh's solo premiere was in London's Fall 2006 fashion week; he has since showed his Spring 2007 and Autumn 2007 collections there. Pugh's shows have continued to draw critical praise. British Vogue, for instance, called his Spring 2007 collection "an incredible, unmissable show" and said that "his genius is undeniable." Anna Wintour is a notable supporter of Pugh's designs.
